MITS invited volunteers to a special breakfast at the store. The store was able to do this thanks to our local National Charities League who made it happen. The crew of Moms and daughters transformed the second floor. Usually packed with racks and rows of latest fashion styles, volunteers cleared the room and had banquets tables set and breakfast ready to serve. NCL Mom’s and their daughters wearing matching aprons served up fluffy pancakes with Suzanne’s homemade peach compote, strawberries, eggs cooked to order, sausage, fresh juice and coffee. It was delightful chance to sit, get to know one another. It also was a way for the Logan and Suzanne on behalf of the store and Ellen Goodwin, Director of Mercer Island Youth and Family Services to sit down, relax and enjoy talking with the volunteers.
