Jalisco Mexico Folk Art Papier-Mache Clown with Balloons

This is a true piece of traditional art from Mexico in the 1970s. The figure depicts a clown - or Payaso - a work with historically significant iconography in Mexican and Latin American culture. Handmade, hand painted. Approximately a 9” drop from balloons attached by string. The balloons are 4.5" wide. 3 Total balloons: red, light green, and brown. Loop for hanging at the top of the balloons.

Some small dings in the paint but overall in good condition. See pics.
