Very cool and provocative black and white vase by Seattle artist Ruth Allan. This vase is dark with streaks of white and darker carved “scratches” running through. In excellent condition and signed by the artist. Measures 8” in diameter at its widest and 4.5” tall.
Ruth E Allan is a Seattle-based visual and ceramic artist whose works have been published, exhibited, and collected worldwide. Her Master of Fine Arts in painting and design is from the University of Illinois. She has been an Artist in Residence in 1997 at the Hap Pottery in Beijing, China. Publications that include her work are many.
